Representative complaint lodged with the Office of the Australian Privacy Commissioner
Bannister Law filed a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner which was received by the OAIC on 2 June 2024 (the representative complaint) in respect of Ticketek Pty Ltd (Ticketek).
The representative complaint, on behalf of the millions of effected Australians, was accepted as validly made in accordance with the requirements of ss 36-39 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
I instruct Bannister Law Class Actions to act on my behalf in respect of a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or other action if advised. We will proceed to act on your behalf on a no win no fee basis, and we will be claiming the costs from Ticketek. We don’t believe at this stage the costs in your matter will be greater than the threshold fees which require us to give a costs disclosure, if this changes because your individual circumstances warrant greater personal work, we will supply you with an updated no win no fee costs disclosure and agreement when necessary.
